Ficus Lyrata 'Fiddle Leaf Fig'
The fiddle-leaf fig adds an elegant touch to any interior, making this plant popular with designers and magazines.
Many plant parents hurry out to get one after falling in love with the Fig's lovely looks, only to realize within weeks of bringing them home that they can be a fickle mistress. They surely will require more care however the reward is absolutely worth it!
Fiddle leaf figs require a lot of light however prefer not to be in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause blemishes and fade foliage. A very bright indirect light is best suited for this plant.
A deep soaking every week or so is usually sufficient. Make sure the top 2-3 inches are dry before the next watering. These plants also love humidity, so best to keep away from any air conditioners and heaters. Wiping the leaves regularly with Ash&Fig Mineral feed will help to keep foliage healthy and lush!
